If you've been to rolla , I am sure you must have encountered people screaming " Dubai Dubai Dubai ".....well I am here to provide more insight on how the system works

They can Usually be picked up Infront of Singapore Plaza now Kabayel ,
After the shut down of "Pathan Taxis" .This drivers have become very popular among people who are very impatient of waiting in a long line in da heat for the bus which is just a road away from Singapore plaza .

The rates works as 5 dhs per passenger and can go to 10 on odd hours.
The cars they use usally belong to a company or rent a car , rented upon one of their mates identity . Many of this drivers dont even posses a license .

I rememebr a incident when I hired one of them to drop me & my friends to Sahara Mall . He was a very harsh driver and trust me , We were actually worried if we would make it to sahara in one piece .For the first time we were glad to offer him his fare and get rid of him.

The cars they use vary from a 4 seater normal car to a Van , 9 seater . They usually tint their glasses to avoid suspicion.The cars are poorly maintained and often make wierd noises .

Most of this drivers belong to pakistan , I ve seen a few south indians too. They use this methodlogy to make more income to deal with high cost of living usally utilizing company vehichles or their own !

But recently the authorities started crack downs on this drivers and the whole Illegal taxi buisness came to a stand still. But soon the frequency of crack downs reduced and Buisness was up and running again.

I dont believe illegal taxis are bad , They are very useful . All I say ! Drive Safe and Drive licensed Vehicles !
