Well I surely admire the Police on this one ! Their frequent crack downs on dealers who sell pirated movies has been every effective .

They haven't curbed piracy out though . The business Still goes on . They dealers Have just got smarter !

Rolla is the hub of all this activities in Sharjah ! We had this small shops in Subways which were like a general novelty store. You would get all that sega cassete to small chineese radios there ! They were one of the major providers of fake movie cds in the region . later ,The Shops were moved . Some of this shop owners collaborated and rented a new shop near by they still do the same buisness sell " Made In China " goods which covers their business of piracy. Don't be mistaken ,they don't sell CDs to everyone who visits to their shop and asks for it ! they sell it to their old customers and new customers with reference only. wicked ye ?

This is not it we got other providers too . We get this door to door salesmen for fake cds often Chinese than indian . They go like " Do You want CD "( in that weird Chinese accent of theirs ) and show you covers with latest movie promos on it.smart ye?

I encountered this one very recently . A man stands on a corner of a street( rolla again..) and keeps repeating " dvd vcd mp3 " in a low tone . and when you show interest he approaches you and ask you personally if u need any of those . when asked they name the latest movies they got.and when you demand they bring it from a bag which they have kept in some corner near by !

what i have tried to show you here is just the tip of the ice berg !
