I am still wondering , What do RTA people really do ? Sit in AC cabins Drinking Sulemani tea ? Where the poor passengers wait hours & hours for a bus and nothing ever shows up when it is supposed too .

The other day I was out with my friend ( around 6 pm ), We started from gold souq and had to reach Ghusais ( Dubai Bowling Center ) . As I was informed only one bus covered this route and that was the Holly Bus Number 17 !

We waited around 20 minutes on the bus stop and we saw other people who were waiting for 30-40 mins before us ! Me and My pal decided to walk our way to the next stop ahead of us . ( Don't Know why we decided , But we did )

We walked our way to the next bus stop took us around 10 minutes . We waited again on the same stop for around 10-15 minutes . There was not a single RTA bus in the Distant horizon . So we kept moving ahead .

So its obvious we lost our hopes on the STUPID RTA buses . We decided to catch a cab instead. No Mother F*cking Cab driver ever stopped or he had a passenger . It took us around 15 minutes before we gave up our hopes on cabs too .

Now we decided to walk our way all way through ! It was hot . There was a slight breeze . That was warm too ! We occasionally did retire in those RTA AC bus stops . Where I found another example of bad Planning by RTA !

The Bus Stop seats were steel ! The AC was adjusted for maximum cooling . The Steel Seats were so cold that i bet you would get a frost bite on your butt if you sat on those GOD damn seats .

We got our arses in motion soon . We kept walking till the next bus stop . This bus stop Had its AC off ! So the bus stop was a virtual green house . As we slid the door open , Warm vapors came Gushing out ! It was just so hot in the bus stop , so we decided to keep walking instead .

On my long walk , I always had my eyes on the car moving ! Trust me there wasn't a single bus ! NOT EVEN A SINGLE BUS ! So that kind off justified our decsion to walk and we so lot of people waiting for cab on the way . lots of them .

It was just a little while after we reached where we intended to go ! the total trek took us around 1 1/2 hours to complete . We decided to get our fluid levels up at century mall before we proceeded for a game of bowling . Just to avoid dehydration you know !

Luckily we had transport ensured for the way back as my friend's dad
picked us on the way back home . ( My good fortune )

I seriously think RTA needs to do something about this ! I seriously think Public transport out here SUCKS !

I think starting with a fleet of taxi would not only serve as money making machine but also as a social service to the poor commuters who suffer in the heat.
